A 17-year-old was shot in the legs at around 9:20 last night.
The incident happened in the Monagh Drive area of Belfast, when a number of masked men forced their way into a house and shot the young man.
The victim was taken to hospital, but his wounds are not thought to be life-threatening.
Police are appealing for anyone with information about this crime to contact CID at Musgrave Police Station on the non-emergency number 101 or via the independent charity Crimestoppers.
