The Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) has issued a warning that gluten protein has been found in multiple batches of Tesco’s ‘gluten free’ brownie bars.
On foot of this warning, the retailer has now recalled all batches of its ‘Free From’ 4 Chocolate Flavoured Brownie Cake Bars.
According to a statement from the FSAI, ‘This product is labelled as gluten free and therefore it may be unsafe for consumers who are allergic to or intolerant of cereals containing gluten.’
