Bank of Ireland has warned of an SMS scam currently doing the rounds.
A number of customers have reported receiving a text message stating ‘Your account has been suspended’, with a link that purportedly takes you to a secure BOI site. Rather, the link redirects to a fraudulent site that looks exactly as the official 365 site. Entering personal details on this site may result in financial loss.
Customers are warned to ignore the text and contact BOI if they have any concerns.
