The crew on board the Irish navy vessel LÉ Niamh have yet again rescued a further 329 people off the coast of Libya over the weekend.
It is understood the crew rescued on board the vessel rescued 317 men, 11 women and one child from a number of migrant ships about 58km off the north of Tripoli coast. Reports say all those who were rescued received medical assistance and were given food and water supplies.
The well known Navy Vessel has now rescued over 3,000 people since commencing operations in the Mediterranean this July.
