A wayward cow had a narrow escape after breaking out of a slaughterhouse facility and trot into a nearby Centra shop.
The bizarre incident happened in Castlemartyr, Co. Cork, on Tuesday August 13.
It is understood that staff at the slaughterhouse chased their quarry around the village before the cow crashed into a nearby Centra shop seeking shelter.
The cow was eventually rounded up but won’t meet its maker anytime soon, as the animal was kindly released back into a farm for its bravery.
