The husband of Shamima Begum has told Sky News correspondant Alex Rossi that both he and his wife made a major mistake when they joined Islamic State.

Yago Riedijk is Shamima Begum’s husband after they married one month after she arrived in IS territory as a 15-yr-old in 2015.

The Dutch man said that they definitely made a mistake when they decided to join ISIS.

Jihadi Shamima Begum has said that she now regrets talking to the media and wishes she had found another way to contact her family.

Shamima Begum who left her home in East London at 15 to travel to Syria in support of the Islamic State and was subsequently married to a terrorist murderer has had her British citizenship revoked.

The former British national gave birth to her third child recently and named the baby boy and named him Jarrah which means “able fighter” or “one who wounds”.

This name, which has been cited as proof the Jihadi bride does not want to return to the UK “in peace”, was chosen by her terrorist husband Syrian-Dutch man Yago Riedijk.

Begum was unremorseful about having joined the caliphate and talked openly about airstrikes and beheadings however, she claimed she posed no threat to the UK and implored sympathy from the British public.

The Begum family was told on Tuesday in a letter from the UK Home Officer that Shamima had lost her British citizenship. The family had demanded that the I.S supporter be allowed to return to the country and live on benefits in social housing with her new baby.
