Stargazers are in for a treat tonight, as the Leonids meteor shower should be visible from Ireland, as long as clouds stay away long enough.
The Leonids happens when Earth traverses the tail of Comet Tempel-Tuttle, which occurs every year around mid-November. The comet orbits the Sun every 33 years.
The meteor shower will be visible tonight and tomorrow night, depending on cloud cover, of course.
