According to various reports, The ‘Notorious’ Conor McGregor will return to fight again at UFC 200 pay-per-view on July 9 according to UFC President Dana White.

McGregor who took a chance and stepped up to a different weight division last week will reportedly go back into the Octagon this coming July and put his Featherweight title on the line against an unamed opponent. McGregor’s somewhat swift return comes after organisers said he did not sustain any medical suspension during his loss against Nate Diaz at UFC 196 last Saturday night.

It is believed that sources close to the Dubliner have said that he wants a return to fighting as soon as possible.

According to UFC president White “McGregor wants to fight again as soon as possible.” The UFC supremo also told American sports network ESPN that: “McGregor wants to jump back in there, and he wants to fight again. We’re working on who the next opponent will be.”

“In this business, it has to burn. It has to be a desire inside you to fight. Conor McGregor is a perfect example. This guy’s going to turn around and fight on [UFC ] 200 again. If you don’t have that desire you simply shouldn’t fight.”

Many are now predicating that the ‘Notorious’ will either have a rematch with his bitter rivial Jose Aldo Jnr, or new contender in former lightweight champion Frankie Edgar.

Guess we will have to mark July 9th on our calendars so!
