Sleepy Joe Biden’s gaff in Israel went around the world with many claiming he’s a blubbering idiot who shouldn’t be let out, never mind one of the most powerful men in the world.

About 500 Palestinians were martyred in an explosion at a Gaza hospital that Palestinian health authorities say was caused by an Israeli airstrike, reports RTE.

The explosion was the deadliest single incident in Gaza since Israel launched a sustained bombing campaign against the densely populated enclave in retaliation for Hamas’ deadly cross-border attack on a community in Israel’s south on October 7.

The Israeli army denied responsibility for the hospital attack and blamed Palestinian militant groups for the botched rocket launch.

A spokesman for the Islamic Jihad militant group in Gaza denied Israel’s accusations.

Health Minister Mai Alkaila of the Hamas-led government in Gaza accused Israel of genocide. Gaza’s civil defence chief said 300 people died, and a health ministry official said 500 people died.

The Lebanese group Hezbollah condemned Israel’s allegedly deadly attack and declared Wednesday would be “a day of unprecedented anger” against Israel and Joe Biden’s visit to the country, reports RTE.

Thousands of families have flocked to overcrowded hospitals in Gaza, seeking refuge from the seemingly constant shelling by the Israeli army.

Since the country’s army began bombing Palestinian territory on October 7, almost 3,000 Gazans have been killed in Israeli attacks.

The conflict began when Hamas militants from the Gaza Strip began attacking several border communities and military posts in Israel.

More than 1,400 people have been killed in fighting in Israel, and the army has identified 199 hostages kidnapped in Gaza.

Dozens of people, including UNRWA workers, were injured and the school suffered structural damage, he said, adding that the death toll could rise.

“At least 4,000 people have taken refuge in this UNRWA school turned shelter. They had and still have nowhere else to go,” the agency said, reports RTE.

Iran, which sponsors both Hamas and Hezbollah, celebrates Hamas’ attacks on Israel but denies being behind them.

The country’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdullahian told state television that “pre-emptive action” would be taken against Israel in the next few hours.

“We cannot be indifferent to the war crimes committed against the people of Gaza,” he said, reports RTE.
