The parents of Nora Qouirin settle defamation case with Facebook

The parents of Irish teenager Nóra Quoirin, whose body was found near a resort in the Malaysian jungle during a family vacation in 2019, have settled her defamation lawsuit following comments posted on Facebook.

Nóra’s mother, Meabh, and father, Sébastien, flew in from the UK this morning for the brief High Court hearing.

According to RTE, the lawsuit against Anne Brennan, a lawyer from Castleiney, Templemore, Co Tipperary who retired in 2014, and Facebook, now known as Meta, was settled confidentially.

The terms of the agreement are confidential. Ms. Brennan was not in court for the hearing.
