The power of money compels you: Lutheran pastor runs training course aimed for ‘exorcism consultants’

If you are looking for a career move and are unsure where your life path might take you next, why not add exorcism skills to your CV?

The three-year, part-time course in ‘parapsychology, angelology and demonology’ prepares students to face the ultimate evil, and we are not talking about Enda Kenny or Donald Trump dressed up for Halloween.

For a mere €45 a month, course leader Manuel Acuna bestows the new warriors of the faith with the necessary skills to exorcize anyone, at any time, and banish the aeons-old power of Hell from even the most hardcore possessed ones.

And the 54-year-old Argentinian pastor seems to be rather lucky (or unlucky, depending on your point of view), as he appears to find an endless stream of citizens held in the thrall of demons around his premises in Buenos Aires. According to him, he has performed the very respectable figure of over 200 exorcisms throughout his relentless fight against Old Nick.

At one such event, a woman was reportedly seen violently ejecting blood through her mouth. It was initially thought to be an unusually bad case of gum disease, but Acuna soon went to work and wrestled the blood-spitting demon off her, claiming that she had made a pact with the devil and sealed with animal blood.

Upon successful completion of the course, Acuna guarantees that “The exorcism consultant will be able to determine where there is a case of a demonic presence, possession, oppression, obsession or a curse.

Exorcism rites have seen somewhat of a revival in recent times, as Pope Francis is a fan of the old demon-bashing himself. Last year, 160 Catholic priests attended a Vatican-endorses, week-long exorcism conference at the Pontifical University of Regina Apostolorum in Rome.
