The Psychiatric Nurses’ Association have undertaken national industrial action in a protest against the health service.
The association say they see no choice but to take action as they are currently experiencing understaffing across mental health services nationwide.
It is understood the industrial action will involve non-co-operation with clerical and administrative duties, including the opening and closing of buildings.
Meanwhile the PNA National Executive Council also say they will meet next Monday to decide on the next phase of the industrial action.
