The seagulls are coming: Drogheda under siege by the winged menace

The perpetual seagull onslaught continues, with Drogheda town now effectively under siege by the winged menace.

Local residents have reported that thousands of seagulls have begun aerial operations on Drogheda’s skies, with reports of terrified citizens having food violently snatched from their hands, and scores of birds flying low in perfect formation and carpet-bombing the town center with droppings. The seagulls’ efforts appear well organized and a deliberate campaign of terror and intimidation.

The situation has now been declared an emergency, and the town council is to convene as a matter of urgency to discuss effective counter measures.

Drogheda has now become the latest frontline in the long-running war against the flying beasts. The townsfolk are rising up to fight for Drogheda’s very survival. If the town falls, there’s no telling where the next strike might occur.
