Police in the North have confirmed that three men have been arrested after a man sustained a fractured skull following an incident in Lisburn, on Thursday.
It is understood that a 53-year-old man who sustained injuries to his thumb, nose and eye was arrested following the incident which occurred on Sloan Street at approximately 5pm.
Police say two other men aged 24 and 27 were arrested on suspicion of assault causing actual bodily harm.
They added that an investigation is currently ongoing.
