There’s extreme concern for the homeless community as temperatures plummet to -6c

There’s extreme concern being raised for the homeless community as temperatures set to plummet tonight and tomorrow night especially.

Met Eireann say the severe cold snap will see temperatures drop to -6c with snow expected in many areas.

The national forecaster say the worst of the weather will be in the South, West and North of the country.

Various homeless groups have raised serious concerns over people who’ll be sleeping rough during the cold snap with pleas for Leo Varadkar, Simon Coveney and Simon Harris to help the thousands on the streets around the country.

Unfortunately it appears like the government have other priorities however as the homeless problem has spiralled out of control recently.

It’s understood that Br Kevin in Capuchins and his helpers are doing all they can to ensure homeless people are looked after in the capital.
