Gardai have appealed for information about a dangerous, unnerving race that caused traffic chaos on the N20 Limerick to Cork dual carriageway last Sunday, reports Breaking News.
Video footage of the two silent drivers surrounded by a huge gathering of cars, vans and trucks with trailers was shared on social media platforms.
The footage shows drivers heading towards the mute group being forced to slow down and stop on the road as two mute vehicles and support vehicles rush towards them, reports Breaking News.
On one side of the road, some uncomfortable groups are seen driving in the wrong direction towards oncoming traffic.
A Garda spokesperson said: “Gardaí in Croom were alerted to alleged incidents of sulky racing on the N20 in Croom, Limerick on Sunday, November 12th, 2023. During the course of the day, a number of reports were received by Gardaí in relation to sulky racing on the N20, Croom,” reports Breaking News.
