Thief breaks into a Dundalk service station and walks away with two cans of Coke

Thirst (or sugar addiction) must have been the overwhelming motivation for a hapless thief who broke into a service station in Dundalk last Monday and took two cans of Coke.

The curious incident took place between 9pm and 6.30am at the Dealga Service Station. The Coke burglar first attempted to smash through the back wall of the station, but the person eventually managed to enter the premises via a skylight on the roof.

The total loot was a Bank of Ireland chequebook and two cans of Coke.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact Dundalk Garda Station on 042 9335577.
