Air traffic controllers in Spain to strike for four days during peak holiday season

Sunseekers and holidaymakers in general might see their best laid plans disrupted by the upcoming strike by Spain’s air traffic controllers during one of the busiest times of year.

The row centres around sanctions imposed by the country’s airports operator during a previous strike back in 2010, which left over 600,000 holidaymakers stranded at various airports.

The controllers will walk out for two hours in the morning on June 8, 10, 12, and 14, and a further two hours in the afternoon.
