A gang of brazen thieves used a digger to rip an ATM from a bank in Co. Monaghan overnight.
The incident happened at the AIB branch in Castleblaney.
Witnesses say they saw a dark-coloured 4×4 vehicle travelling in the direction of Co. Armagh with the cash machine on a trailer.
A similar incident took place in Co. Antrim in recent days.
PSNI officers believe that the same gang is behind all these robberies.
