
Finally it appears as though there is light at the end of the tunnel after the coronavirus nightmare took hold over the past 10 weeks.
There was some positive news as it has been revealed that 21,060 people have recovered from COVID-19.
Speaking at the National Public Health Emergency Team briefing, Deputy Chief Medical Officer Dr Ronan Glynn confirmed that 19,224 have recovered in the community.
Meanwhile a further 1,826 have since been discharged from hospital.
The news comes after it was revealed that a further 11 people have sadly died whilst there was a further 64 confirmed cases on Wednesday.
