Thousands more Ukrainian refugees expected to be housed in Ireland in 2023, all entitled to free medical cards and social welfare

Over 70,000 Ukrainian refugees are expected to be housed in Ireland by the end of this year, whether that figure is realised or not remains to be seen.

What is expected is that thousands more are expected to flood into the country in 2023.

This number is likely to rise as winter takes hold in Ukraine and more people flee the war and the local conditions.

It is unclear where all these people will be housed, since there are over 11,000 homeless people in Ireland already.

They’re all entitled to free medical cards, free social welfare, can work here and the government will bend over backwards to get a warm roof over their heads.
