Gardai have launched an investigation following the death of a man in Cork.
It is understood that a male in his 40s was found in an unresponsive state in the Mahon area of Cork city today.
The man was later pronounced dead at University Hospital Cork.
A post-mortem examination will determine the course of the investigation.
