Thousands of customers are likely to be without electricity until Sunday at least following storm damage.
According to authorities, the areas worst affected are north Dublin, Wicklow, and Wexford.
A spokesperson for the ESB has said that crews will be working through the night to attempt to restore power to as many customers as possible.
