Thousands of students might have to give up their college places, commute for hours, or attend classes while homeless due to a dire shortage of accommodation, it has emerged today.
The utter failure of successive Fianna Fail/Fine Gael Governments to build any student accommodation over the decades has predictable and inexorably led to the current situation.
According to reports, some students are forced to live in camper vans or even in the boot of their cars.
