Three elderly women have been tragically killed following a road traffic collision in Co Limerick.
It is understood the women all aged in their 70s, were killed following a two vehicle collision on the N69, near Loughill.
GardaĆ investigating the incident say a driver in one vehicle was killed, whilst the driver and passenger of the second vehicle were also killed in the crash.
Meanwhile a second passenger was also taken to University Hospital Limerick with non-life threatening injuries.
GardaĆ say an investigation is currently ongoing.
