A massive Garda operation which also involved army units took place this morning in the Blanchardstown area of the capital.
The raid yielded a number of firearms and a quantity of ammunition. It is understood that a handgun and a silencer were also seized in a separate operation on Wednesday.
Blanchardstown and Corduff in west Dublin have recently been the scene of a violent feud between two well known families involved in criminal activity in the area.
