Three Gardai injured during a raid in Co Louth

According to various reports it is understood that three members of the gardaí have been injured during a drugs raid in Co Louth.

It is believed that the attack happened after gardaí entered a premises in Termonfeckin village with a drugs warrant at approximately 9am this morning. Gardai say a scuffle broke out between the gardai and the suspects which resulted in three gardaí being injured. It also has been reported that gardaí came under attack from a pitbull dog which was set upon them, reports also say the gardai were attacked with a knife.

The three injured men were taken to Our Lady Of Lourdes hospital Drogheda, but have since been discharged. Gardai say a man in his 30s was arrested and taken to Drogheda Garda Station.
