
Three people have died in two separate road collisions in Co Tipperary over the past 24 hours.
In the early hours of this morning, a man in his 30s lost his life in a two-car collision on the N24 Frank Drohan Road outside Clonmel, reports RTE.
Emergency services were called to the scene at approximately 1.10am.
The driver of one of the vehicles was fatally injured in the crash, reports RTE.
His body was removed to University Hospital Waterford, where a post-mortem examination is due to take place. No other serious injuries were reported.
The road remains closed this afternoon between the Cahir Road Roundabout and the Heywood Road Junction on the N24, reports RTE.
Local diversions have been put in place while Garda Forensic Collision Investigators conduct an examination of the scene.

The fatal collision follows the deaths of two young men in a separate multi-vehicle crash in the county yesterday evening.
The collision, involving four vehicles, occurred on a local road at Killeen, Ballinunty, around 15km southeast of Thurles, shortly before 6pm, reports RTE.
The two men, believed to have been friends and aged in their late teens and early 20s, were travelling in one of the vehicles.
They were pronounced dead at the scene and their bodies were later taken to University Hospital Waterford, where post-mortem examinations will be carried out, reports RTE.
Two women, both in their 20s and travelling in a second car, were brought by ambulance to Tipperary University Hospital in Clonmel. Their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
Six other people were assessed by medical personnel at the scene and did not require hospital treatment, reports RTE.
The Killeen Road remains closed this afternoon to allow Garda Forensic Collision Investigators to carry out an examination. Local diversions are in place.
Gardaà said the local coroner has been informed and that post-mortem examinations will be arranged. A family liaison officer has also been appointed, reports RTE.

Meanwhile, a man in his 60s died after being struck by a vehicle in Co Monaghan yesterday morning, reports RTE.
Senior gardaà in Thurles have appealed to all road users to slow down and drive at speeds suitable for current road conditions.
They said poor weather has made driving conditions challenging, with surface water present in a number of areas, reports RTE.
