Authorities in the US State of Colorado have confirmed that three skiers are missing following an avalanche.
According to reports in the US media the three skiers who were part of a group of four were buried underneath a flurry of snow on a slope located between Silvertone and Ophir.
It is understood that one person has been rescued but three others still remain missing.
Police say search operations are continuing but they were suspended on Tuesday due to fears of another avalanche.
