Three youngsters beaten by gang of up to 15 teenager thugs in Laytown, County Meath

In what can only be described as utterly disgraceful, three youngsters were badly beaten by a gang of up to 15 teenager thugs in Laytown, Co. Meath.

Local paper, the Drogheda Leader reports that gardaí are investigating the assault which occurred at Beach Grove, Laytown on Monday afternoon 17th February at 4pm involving up to 15 teenagers.

A garda spokesman told the Drogheda Leader, “A group of between 10 and 15 youths approached three young people and demanded their mobile phones and subsequently assaulted two of them by knocking them to the ground and kicking them.”

It’s understood that the victims suffered a number injuries but no property was stolen during the assault. The group of offenders then ran towards Laytown railway station heading towards Balbriggan.
