Most terrorists are “males of a Muslim persuasion” – Ryanair boss Michael O’Leary condemned for comments on airport security

The chief executive of Ryanair, Michael O’Leary, has faced a whirlwind of gushing outrage from politically correct public figures in the media and politics and the usual twitter mob after he said that most terrorists were “Muslim males”.

In an interview with the Times newspaper, Mr O’Leary commented on stop and search procedures by airport security and said terrorists “will generally be males of a Muslim persuasion” while others, such as families with young children, should not face the same scrutiny.

“If you are travelling with a family of kids, on you go; the chances you are going to blow them all up is zero.” Mr O’Leary said.

The Ryanair head went on to say

“You can’t say stuff, because it’s racism, but it will generally be males of a Muslim persuasion. Thirty years ago, it was the Irish.”

While Muslim groups and politically correct adherents have been quick to condemn O’Leary for his remarks, public commentators online have applauded his statement with many claiming that being factually correct is more important than being politically correct. A statement considered practically blasphemous in today’s ultra-sensitive climate.
