‘Thundersnow’ phenomenon forecast for the UK during the Easter weekend

The Met Office is forecasting a ‘thundersnow’ phenomenon across the UK during the Easter weekend.

Much of Britain has seen fine weather over the past 48h or so, but that’s all about to change as a cold front approaches.

Gales, and even snow, are expected on Sunday as air from the Arctic moves southwards over the country throughout Sunday and Monday.

Forecasters are warning about the possibility of a ‘thundersnow,’ that is when thunderstorms coincide with wintry showers.
