It has been confirmed that Pat Hickey, former boss of the Olympic Committee of Ireland, is now in prison.
Mr. Hickey has been incarcerated in Bangu prison in Rio, pending results of the investigations into the alleged ticket touting by members of the committee and associated individuals.
Mr Hickey may face charges of facilitating ticket touting, formation of a cartel and ambush or illicit marketing. If convicted, he may receive a sentence of up to seven years.
