Tina Satchwell’s body released to her family as they plan her funeral

Tina Satchwell’s family can finally arrange a funeral for her after her body was released a week after gardaí found her home in Cork, reports The Mirror.

Tina’s remains were found buried under the stairs in her Youghal home, six years after her disappearance.

Her body has already been released to the Dingivan family.

It is understood that her close family, from Fermoy, Co Cork, will hold a private ceremony for the 45-year-old, who was known for her love of pets and fashion.

Tina was the youngest of four daughters in the Dingivan family. She also had three brothers. She came from the place of St. Bernard in Fermoy.

Her sister Teresa revealed how Tina was “adored” by her parents.

“We were a close family. She was loved, happy, free going, a lovely young girl. We’d all play on the street with our friends. She was always with us,” Teresa said, reports The Mirror.

Two vigils have been held in his memory in recent days.

More than 500 people attended a rally in Fermoy on Monday evening.

A statement was read on behalf of the Dingivan family. The family said they will “cherish the moments and all the great memories” of Tina, reports The Mirror.

“There are no words to describe the pain in our hearts right now Tina. If we knew the last time we met was going to be our last time we would have hugged you extra tight,” reports The Mirror.
