According to reports a large crowd people have descended to the centre of Galway City this evening to celebrate the opening of the annual Christmas market.
The magical wonderland which includes all things festive has kicked off with a carnival-style parade from the Spanish Arch to Eyre Square. The amazing market will then be officially opened by the guest of honour Ireland and Connacht player, Robbie Henshaw. Henshaw will also be joined by Galway’s Lord Mayor, Frank Fahy, the Town Crier, St. Patrick’s Brass Band and Claddagh School Choir.
The market which is must see for anyone who loves everything Christmas will remain open until Tuesday December 22nd.
