The sun has finally begun to shine this year and just in time too as today is the day where we start to see the so-called “draconian” lockdown measures begin to ease.
The Irish public have been absolutely pummelled over the past 4 months since Micheal Martin, Leo Varadkar and Eamon Ryan imposed Level 5 lockdown measures yet again on the country.
Today will see the resumption inter-county travel, click and collect, garden centres, mixing with other people and Mass all start again.
From next Monday, in-shop buying will start again with thousands ready to hit the shops.
Hospitality and pubs however will likely not resume until the early and mid June, according to reports, but it’s a great start and hopefully that will be the end of the draconian lockdown imposed on the Irish public for months on end.
