A 2-year-old toddler has sadly died this morning after being struck by a lorry in Waterford city.
The incident happened just after 10am in Manor Street, between College Street and Parnell Street. The streets are closed until further notice.
The young girl was rushed to hospital but sadly died en route. The child mother, a woman in her 30s, sustained minor injuries.
