President Donald Trump must be beside himself with worry… Simon Harris will be in town next week.
The Tanaiste, who has been nicknamed “Top Gun” after watching fighter jets to be bought for the Irish defence force, is on his way to America next week to meet a commerce official to see what, if anything, can be done about the tariffs.
Ireland faces 20% tariffs on most goods sold into America, except for pharmaceuticals etc at the moment.
What will happen is anyone’s guess, but we’ll watch on and report when it does.
