He may be one of the world’s richest men and US Presidential Candidate but Donald Trump showed his charitable side recently as he personally loaned his own private 727 jet to transport a terminally ill three year old after commercial airlines refused to do so.

Mr Trump showed his humanitarian side when he came to the rescue of the young boy named Andrew Tens who tragically suffers from a rare breathing condition that doctors in California have not yet been able to identify. The heroic act of kindness came after the young boy’s family decided to travel across the US in order to get the best care available for their son. However shamefully, a significant number of US commercial airlines had refused to transport the young boy and his family due to his much needed oxygen tank, suction machine, adrenaline syringe, and other medical equipment.

With all hope lost and feeling as if they were trapped, the young boy’s family decided to try a one in a million shot, they publicly reached out to Mr Trump and asked for his help. Amazingly they were successful as a number of people associated with the billionaire tycoon put a plan into action almost immediately, by offering to make his multimillion dollar private jet available to help the Tens in their hour of need.

The heartwarming move clearly touched Andrew’s father, Harold Ten, who told US reporters: “Mr. Trump did not hesitate when we called him up. He said ‘yes, I’ll send my plane out.’” When asked by reporters why did he think Mr Trump went to the expense of making his jet available for his son, Andrew’s father Harold said, “Because he is a good man. He has three children of his own, and he knows what being a parent is all about.”
