In a truly touching story a brave little kitten who was disgracefully attacked skinned and cruelly left at the foot of Croagh Patrick to die has finally found a new home with a loving family.
The brave kitten named Patrick has been given a new home after he made a full recovery from is horrific injuries which he sustained last July, little Patrick was subjected to a horrific attack which resulted with him needing amputative surgery in order to have his tail removed. The traumatised little kitten was only five weeks old when he was left for dead by his attackers on a roadside close to the pilgrimage mountain, he was then discovered by a number of pilgrims who arrived to climb Croagh Patrick on Reek Sunday in July.
Little Patrick was then taken into care by Catherine Hopkins who took the injured and distressed animal to her sister Jacqueline who happened to be veterinary nurse who then proceeded to take him to nearby veterinary clinic where he received life saving surgery, and now after a long and arduous recovery Little Patrick has found a new home in Co Galway.
