
The Irish Tourism Board have released a statement stating that the country will see a record number of tourists this year.
The news comes after latest figures have revealed that there has been a 12% increase of overseas visitors since January and September. The figures state that a staggering 6.65 million visitors have visited the emerald isle in the first nine months of this year.
It is understood that there has been a significant rise in the number of tourists visiting Ireland from the US and Canada believed to be in the region of 14%, whilst a similar increase was recorded from mainland Europe. Meanwhile there’s been growth of 11% in visitors from the UK.
