A woman in her 50’s has died in a car crash in Co. Monaghan this morning.
The woman died after the car she was driving collided with another car in Aghalisk, on the Clones Road, around 7.50am.
Her body has been removed to Cavan General Hospital following the incident.
The man driving the other car, who is in his late 50s, was injured in the crash, and has been taken to hospital, however his injuries are not said to be life threatening.
The road is currently closed while a forensic investigation is being carried out and local diversions are in place.
