There was some sad news announced this evening as a 12-year-old boy tragically died after the pony and trap he was travelling on was involved in a collision with a truck.
Gardaí say the tragic accident occurred on St Cuthbert’s Road in Clondalkin, Dublin at approximately 1.40pm this afternoon. The young boy’s was sadly pronounced dead at the scene and his body has since been taken to Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital in Crumlin.
