There are reports circulating this evening that 4 year-old Co Cork boy is in a critical condition in Hospital
It is understood the 4 year old boy is fighting for his life in Cork University Hospital tonight after he was tragically run over by a car at St John’s Well on the Commons Road this afternoon.
Gardaí say the tragic accident happened after the young boy ran out onto the road whilst he was running away from a wasp. A number of people at the scene say the young boy became trapped underneath the car and was dragged along the road for about 50 yards.
The young boy was quickly rushed to hospital were and taken into intensive care. Gardai at Gurranabraher say they are appealing for witnesses to the collision to contact them on (021) 4946200
