
The tragic trend of road tragedies continues today, after the death of a 40-year-old man in Limerick overnight.
It is understood the man was struck by a vehicle on Kileely Road, in the Thomondgate area of the city, at around 11.35pm last night. He was rushed to University Hospital Limerick, where he was pronounced dead shortly afterwards.
The driver of the car, a man in his 20s, was not injured.
