A woman in her 60s has died after being viciosuly attacked by two dogs, at a house near Moycullen in Co Galway.
The attack occurred at a house on the road between Moycullen and Spiddal yesterday afternoon where the woman, aged in her 60s, was set upon by two Bullmastiffs dogs.
It’s understood that the woman was visiting a relative at the time when the dogs attacked.
Emergency services were called to the scene but were unable to save the woman due to the extent of the injuries she sustained from the mauling.
The woman’s body has been taken to University Hospital Galway, where a post-mortem examination will take place.
