At least 18 people mostly school children, have been killed in a flash flood which occurred near the Dead Sea in Jordan.
According to Jordanian state media the group which contained mostly children died whilst on an outing with teachers.
It is understood a further 34 people were rescued from the flood with some left in serious condition.
Jordanian authorities say most of the children killed in the incident were under the age of 14 although their exact age has not been revealed.
A number of eyewitness say the children and their teachers were left trapped when their bus got swept into a valley.
