Tragic: Authorities say hope of finding is all but over as rescue mission turns into recovery

News from authorities in Wales now fear the worst for Emiliano Sala  who they think could have possibly drowned.

The young man went missing after the plane that he and a pilot were flying in went off radar somewhere between Nantes to Cardiff

Police investigating the incident say chances of finding those in board including new Cardiff City FC signing Emiliano Sala, are slim with hopes that the two men landed and got into a boat.

According to reports in the UK, Sala who joined the Bluebirds from French side Nantes over the weekend in an £18m deal, was confirmed to be on board by French authorities.

Air traffic control confirmed that the flight was travelling from Nantes to Cardiff when it went missing near Guernsey.

His father has confirmed that Sala sent a whatsapp voice message before the flight with concerns as to how the plane looked saying that “it looked like it was about to fall apart”.

Authorities will decide later today how to progress with the 300 square mile search area.
