Police in the US have confirmed that five people have been killed following a shootout at a bank in Florida on Wednesday.

It is reported that five people were killed after a man who has since been identified as Zephan Xaver, 21, opened fire at the SunTrust bank in Sebring on Wednesday afternoon.
Police say the suspect who is now in custody called them to inform them that he had started firing shots at the bank.
Following a long stand-off it is believed Xaver surrended after negotiators from a SWAT team entered the building.
It is not yet known why Xaver carried out the attack, but police say they are continuing to question him following his arrest.
