Authorities in India have sadly confirmed that a 2-year-old boy who fell 125ft down an used well has sadly passed away.
The tragic news of the infant’s death was confirmed following a four day rescue mission.
It is believed that the boy became trapped after he fell down the open well outside his house in the Sangrur District, in Punjab state on Thursday.
However despite a mammoth effort by rescue teams, the boy was sadly pronounced dead after he was taken from the well.
Authorities say the boy was taken to Chandigarh Hospital but was sadly pronounced dead upon arrival.
